Free parking in the city centre is essentially impossible. Use paid lots (~€1.50/hour) or park 10–15 minutes out and walk in.
The municipality started piloting low-emission/limited-traffic zones in early 2026 around the central boulevard. Read the signs before turning into Bulevardi Dëshmorët e Kombit.
For the city plus airport runs, a small hatchback (Fiat Panda, VW Polo, Hyundai i10) is the most practical: easier to park and under 6 L/100 km on the highway.
