The Kolë Idromeno pedestrian street is closed to cars. Park at “Sheshi 5 Heronjtë” (~€0.50/hour) and walk in.
The road to Theth starts in Shkodra. 80 km, 2.5 hours. A small SUV or 4x4 is recommended in shoulder season.
If your trip includes the Alps, a small SUV or 4x4 pays off. For Shkodra and the lake alone, an economy sedan does the job.
Parking: Paid parking downtown is €0.50–1/hour. Hotels offer free private parking — book it as part of your stay.
